Yaya Toure: Man City landscape has changed
The Manchester City derby ended 0-0, with United fans in the crowd celebrating their team's one-point haul, and Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure believes the landscape of the city has changed dramatically.
Yaya Toure expects his team to finish the season on top of Manchester United for the fourth year in a row: "I think it's a big change, in the past United always dominated, always controlled and won the game, and now to see the away fans celebrating like that (in the draw), it means that Manchester City are getting closer. Of course United's history and achievements are far more impressive, they have a lot of history, but we're closing in, and when we're above them for a season, it means City are progressing nicely. We are a bad neighbor.
"Manchester United and Manchester City fight for the title every year and this year that was difficult and quite disappointing. United are building something interesting and we have to realize that and City will be a stronger team next year. Next year I want United to be a bit more attacking."
When asked if he was looking forward to renewing his contract with City, Toure, 33, said, "Why not? It depends on the club, as a player I just do my job."
