According to The Sun, Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba came close to clashing with several fans while having dinner with friends in a restaurant, but luckily the situation was then brought under control. In the end the behavior of both sides this time did not escalate to the police to coordinate.
According to eyewitnesses, Pogba was dining at a restaurant with friends when a fan spotted the Manchester United star and asked him to sign a token. The man wanted to enjoy quiet leisure and therefore refused the request.
The fans were so upset by this that two men were ready to come forward to fight with Pogba as a result, while another smashed a dinner plate at the star, but it was good to see that people around as well as the restaurant staff stopped the fans who were trying to provoke them.
An eyewitness said: 'It escalated quickly and it looked like a fight was imminent. The men were angry with Pogba for refusing to sign an autograph for them, but Pogba was having a quiet meal with a friend and was uncomfortable with the attention from the fans. The men went out of their way to try and fight him, something that could have easily led to a physical altercation, but luckily the restaurant staff as well as the people around them pulled them apart. As the most expensive player in the world, he was an easy target for these guys and he coped well."
The restaurant staff called the police after this conflict, but because both parties involved have already dispersed, so the police did not come to the scene.
