After the semi-final match of the European Cup in which the Netherlands defeated England, Dutch team manager Koeman was interviewed by the Dutch national broadcaster NOS. He spoke highly of his team's performance and also expressed regret for failing to reach the final.

Koeman began by saying that he was proud of his team's performance, even though the result was not as good as they would have liked. He admitted that he did encounter difficulties at times during the match, especially when England played well and controlled the ball more steadily. However, the Dutch team did not give up, they kept their faith and gradually found their form later on, with a more solid defense. Koeman believes that England returned to their best form of the tournament in this match, but the Dutch also have a chance to win the game and he will have confidence in his team even if it goes to extra time.

Regarding the team's performance, Koeman said it was not meant to criticize anyone. He emphasized that it was their lineup and the team had played to their maximum potential and had done well. He urged that people should focus on the positive performances of the team in the game rather than the bad moments. Koeman said that he does not agree with any negative comments as he believes that the team has done their best.

Speaking about the referee, Koeman said he was not a fan of the referee and wanted to avoid too much discussion about it. He believes that it was a very close semi-final and therefore disappointment is inevitable. However, he firmly believes that everyone should be proud of this Dutch team, as they have performed well enough.

Finally, Koeman thanked the fans who came to support the team. He said that despite this being a painful time, this Euro is still a great tournament. He believes that the Dutch team will learn from it and be ready for the future.
