The two sides agreed a three-year deal. Chambers came through the Southampton youth system and spent eight seasons at Arsenal, during which time he developed a strong friendship with Cardiff City player Aaron Ramsey. He made just eight appearances for Aston Villa last season. Chambers has expressed his excitement over the move and is looking forward to showing what he can do in his new surroundings. He believes Cardiff City's ambitions are a perfect fit with his career plans and looks forward to realizing common goals here.
