Juventus considered selling McKennie to Aston Villa despite having just one year left on his contract, but a deal failed to materialize due to a lack of agreement on financial terms.
Miami International's intervention has brought a new turnaround for Juventus, and if the sale of McKennie is successful, the funds will help Juventus make other reinforcements in the transfer market this summer.
